Non-Narcotic Pain Relief- Signal Relief
A future beyond reflexive opioid dependence
Pain is not simply a symptom; it is a nervous system signal. Bioelectric and non-opioid approaches are reshaping how we think about pain by targeting signaling pathways rather than relying only on narcotic medications. Reviews of bioelectronic therapies describe them as potentially non-addictive and reversible approaches for pain modulation.
Non-narcotic pain relief may include neuromodulation, topical technologies, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory strategies, mind-body regulation, and emerging non-opioid medications.
Signal Relief Patch is a general wellness product – Efficacy
● Rapid onset of pain relief reported in minutes to hours after application
● Demonstrated benefit across multiple pain types:
- Musculoskeletal (back, knee, shoulder)
- Neuropathic pain
- Chronic inflammatory conditions
- Menstrual pain ( marketed as JOVI)
● Reduction in pain intensity scores (VAS/NRS) in observational and pilot studies
● Reported improvements in:
- Functional mobility
- Sleep quality
- Daily activity tolerance
● Non-pharmacologic mechanism allows use adjunctively with standard therapies
● Potential to reduce reliance on:
- Opioids
- NSAIDs
- Other analgesics
● Durable effect in some users with continued relief after removal
● Mechanism hypothesized to involve:
- Bioelectric signaling modulation
- Interruption of aberrant nociceptive transmission
- Interaction with peripheral nerve signaling pathways
Signal Relief Patch – Safety
● Non-invasive, drug-free technology
● No systemic absorption → no known drug-drug interactions
● Favorable safety profile across reported use cases:
- Minimal to no reported adverse events
● No reported:
- Sedation
- Cognitive impairment
- Gastrointestinal toxicity (vs NSAIDs)
● Safe for use in:
- Polypharmacy patients
- Older adults
● Can be worn continuously (per product guidelines) with low risk of skin irritation

A Drug-Free Approach to Menstrual Pain Relief
Are you experiencing moderate to severe menstrual discomfort?
You may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study evaluating a non-invasive, wearable patch designed to reduce menstrual pain without medication.
About the Study
We are studying the Jovi Patch, an innovative, reusable device designed to help relieve menstrual discomfort by working with the body’s natural electrical signals in an IRB approved prospective randomized placebo controlled clinical trial.
- No drugs, no injections
- Non-invasive and easy to use
- Worn during your menstrual cycle
Who Can Participate?
You may qualify if you:
- Are 18–50 years old and not pregnant or planning pregnancy in the next six months
- Experience moderate to severe menstrual pain
- Are interested in non-medication options for relief
- Are willing to participate for 6 menstrual cycles
What’s Involved?
- Initial remote screening visit
- Wear the first patch during your menstrual cycle for months 1-3 then switch to the second patch for months 4-6
- Track your symptoms and any medication use
- Participate in follow-up visits virtually
Potential Benefits
- Possible reduction in menstrual pain
- May help decrease reliance on pain medications
- Contribute to advancing women’s health innovation
Compensation & Costs
- Study-related visits and materials are provided at no cost
- No payment for participation
- You keep the Jovi which should last you for at least a year
Safety
- Minimal risk expected
- Possible mild skin irritation at the patch site
- You may withdraw at any time
